  • Secondwind Gear Shop 628 North Highland Ave Atlanta, GA 30306 (map)

The world would be a better place if more strangers told stories around campfires.

What is it?

Our community storytelling event allows people to connect with strangers who share a love of the outdoors! You can come to share a story or you can just come to listen.

How does it work?

From 7-8PM you’ll be able to hang out, have a drink, meet new friends and have exclusive shop time to check out the amazing selection of used outdoor gear at Secondwind. From 8-9PM The story telling begins! So, grab a seat and enjoy. If you want to share a story (please do!) you’ll put your name in a free raffle. If selected from the raffle, you’ll be given 5 minutes to tell your story

What should I bring?

Bring your favorite camp chair to sit in and a list of outdoor gear you “need” but haven’t wanted to spend the money on. Secondwind is the perfect excuse to save money AND stock up!

What is the theme?

Spooky outdoor stories! example: That time a bear broke into camp, the time a creepy guy kept popping up on the trail, the time you got your period in grizzly bear country. The stories we all love to share and hear around the campfire!

But… why?

Peaks & Geeks is on a mission to build an outdoor community in and around Metro Atlanta. From through hikers to street bikers, if you like being outside we want you! Secondwind Outdoor Gear shop is creating a sustainable and affordable way for folks to get outdoors and we want to support that and they’re supporting us! Come play!
