In our fight to make the outdoors more accessible we are offering this class (normally $65) as a Pay What You Can Opportunity.

Join us for a beginner backpacking class where we will cover the gear you’ll need, the ABC’s of packing a backpack and the 123’s of planning a backpacking trip - from food and water to clothes and weather. Then we’ll go for a hike with your gear to instruct proper hiking techniques while carrying weight.

When: Sunday, December 14th 10AM - 2PM

Where: Arabia Mountain, 3787 Klondike Rd. Lithonia, GA

What’s Included:

  • Sample gear (for the purposes of showing and teaching only), stoves, water filters, sleep systems, backpacks, etc.

  • Trekking Poles to borrow

  • Comprehensive First Aid Kit

  • Good Vibes

What’s Not Included:

At this time we are not providing Backpacking gear for this class and you don’t need to go out and purchase any. You will be provided with a sample packing list before the class date and you can bring anything you own for us to review and help you manage. The purpose of this class is to introduce you to the concepts, gear, safe practices, etc.
